Adjunct Position Notice: Computer Application & Online Research Workshops

I have an immediate need to hire an Adjunct Lecturer for computer application workshops and tutoring.

 

Job Title:                  Adjunct Lecturer, Public Management

Location:                   John Jay College of Criminal Justice

Full/Part Time:             Part Time

 

GENERAL DUTIES

Conducting workshops and tutoring on common computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, academic research, Internet research, and podcasting. Knowledge and the ability to tutor in basic quantitative analysis and SPSS is preferred. Reports to department’s Deputy Chair for Academic Technology and shares responsibility to develop appropriate curriculum to provide workshops and tutoring services to students in a Master of Public Administration Program.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

For Adjunct Lecturer: Minimum Master degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent.

Also required is the ability to teach both traditional and online workshops successfully.

 

EXPECTED WORKLOAD

Four (4) to five (5) hours per week. Early evening and Saturday availability required

 

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer (non-teaching): 44.12 / Hour
